Mr. E. Parties is a small business based in Timonium, Maryland that specializes in interactive mystery entertainment.

Our weekend mystery retreats provide you with a chance to play center stage in an action packed drama. You will create a character to play over the weekend, and your character will be given goals and props (based on your input) and the chance to interact with other like-minded people.

No one tells you how to play your character, and no one gives you a script to read, and you will be interacting with other guests, not paid actors, and those other guests have goals, just like you.

Throw in some murders, some plot twists, free meals and some excellent accomodations and what you get is a very unique opportunity to indulge in self-expression, problem solving, creativity, role-playing, sleuthing and partying!

Edward J. Birrane, III, CEO: Ed is the founder of Mr. E. Parties and has been hosting mystery weekends in his spare time since 1992. His current responsibilities in Mr. E. involve writing the base plots and characters for weekend parties as well as generating some of the more exotic clues used in these parties. Ed is also involved in several Mr. E. products and services outside of weekend retreats and he occasionally works on this web page.

Lisa M. Markovitz, CFO: Lisa graduated from Loyola College in MD, from which she obtained a BA in Economics and a Masters in Finance. A dramatic Italian, she constantly seeks right-brained, creative activity! She thoroughly enjoys her role as CFO and Marketing Director of Mr. E Parties, Inc., and makes frequent contributions to the writing of plots and characters for all of our parties and products. Lisa accomplishes all of this from her home in Ellicott City, where she lives with her husband and two daughters.

Kathleen A. Birrane, Esq., COO: Kathy is a successful, AV-rated commercial litigator whose practiced is concentrated in insurance related issues, including coverage, regulatory compliance, risk management and ERISA. She is also an accomplished artist, who sculpts and paints portraits. Impressed with the unique blend of creative and intellectual challenge that she experienced on a Mr. E Party Weekend, Kathy has now joined her siblings as Chief Operations Officer for Mr. E. Parties. As such, she handles the logistics surrounding all of our products and services, including catering our weekend retreats, acting as our safety consultant, and handling questions that arise during Mr. E. events. Kathy also participates in the development of plots and characters and in our quality assurance process.
